In-Pit Reserves

  1. Create Reserves data base: File > New > Reserves.dbl
  • Edit codes / Layers: OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Edit Codes / Layers
  1. Change Code Information to suit project coal / waste
    1. Select Seams
    1. Update Code Info
    1. Validate Layers
    1. OK
  • Add Pit / Dump (Reserves Pit not designed pit):  OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Add Pit/Dump
    • Layers File: Select layer file
  • Add quality: OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Add Quality Variable
    • Variable
    • Grid Suffix
    • Default – Coal
    • Default – Waste
    • OK
  • Build Reserves: OP ReservesDB > Build > Generate Reserves
    • Reserves DB Pit/Dump (Reserves pit)
    • Specify Geometry Pit/Dump (Designed Pit)
    • Structure DD Name (Merge Model)
    • Bench DD name (Bench Grid Folder)
    • Top Grid (Topography layer)
    • Base Grid (Seam floor)
    • Weathering Grid
    • Auto Range
    • OK
  • Display: OP ReservesDB > Display > Reserves 3D Display

ROM Reserves

  START WITH IN-PIT RESERVES AND CREATE COPY OF RESERVES.DBL AT EACH STEP AND NAME

  1. Join Layers: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste Merge Layers
    1. Layer Operation > Join
    1. Merge Waste Settings > Combine Adjacent > Coal
    1. Select: Target Top Layer
    1. OK
    1. Layer Operation > Join
    1. Merge Waste Settings > Combine Adjacent > Coal
    1. OK
  • Waste: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste Merge Layers
    • Layer Operation > Waste
    • OK

SQL

OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Add Quality Variable

Variable: FLAG

Coal = 1

Waste = 2

OK

Right Click on SQL file (002A) > Edit > Combine SQL (Green Button)

  • Run SQL: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Run SQL
    • Select SQL File (SQL 002A)
    • Run SQL: Stratigraphy Down
  • Run SQL: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Run SQL
    • Select SQL File (SQL 002B)
    • Run SQL: Stratigraphy Up
  • OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste / Merge Layers
    • Layer Operation = Join
    • Combine Adjacent = Mask Flag
    • Mask Variable = FLAG
    • Mask Value = 1 (Coal)
    • OK
  • Waste Coal: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste / Merge Layers
    • Layer Operation = Waste
    • Set min mining thickness
  • Seam Dilution: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Seam Dilution
    • Set Loss for seams
    • Quality
    • Output
    • Set Dilution for seams
    • Quality
    • Output
  • Tidy- up: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste / Merge Layers
    • Layer Operation = Tidy Up
    • Resolve Waste/Coal Names
    • Delete Layer if Waste
  • Reset Layer Exposure: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Reset Layer Exposures
